2020 Chevrolet Traverse For Sale Near Prescott Valley
The 2020 Chevrolet Traverse is a three-row family crossover that features attractive styling, a comfortable cabin and seating for up to eight passengers. The Traverse provides more interior space than its Tahoe stablemate. Customers of the Prescott Valley Chevrolet dealer also appreciate the Traverse’s long list of features that come standard. The all-new Infotainment 3 system makes the Chevy Traverse even more rewarding.
According to Prescott Valley Chevrolet, buyers can get the Traverse in one of seven trim levels, listed as L, LS, LT Cloth, LT Leather, RS, Premier and High Country. All models employ a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic gearbox. Most models get standard front-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive.
Get behind the wheel of the 2020 Traverse, and you’ll be impressed with its strong acceleration. There’s plenty of power to carry a heavy load. Maximum towing capacity is 5,000 pounds. The Traverse gets an EPA-estimated 18 mpg city/27 mpg highway for models with front-wheel drive.* With all-wheel drive, the Traverse returns 17 mpg city/25 mpg highway.
Consumer Reports gave the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse thumbs up, writing: “After about a decade, Chevrolet finally replaced the first-generation Traverse three-row crossover with a new model that delivers on room, comfort, refinement and connectivity. Not only is it competitive with popular three-row SUVs, such as the Ford Explorer, Honda Pilot, and Toyota Highlander, it beats them in their own game. And it also serves as a viable alternative to the full-sized Chevy Suburban.”
Standard features on the base Traverse L trim include keyless open and start, 18-inch painted aluminum wheels, tri-zone automatic climate control, power windows and locks, cruise control, power heated outside mirrors, an HD rearview camera, HID headlights, MyLink radio with a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
At the top of the lineup, the High Country trim can get an exclusive twin-clutch AWD system. It directs torque independently to the wheel with the best traction to provide more control when driving on slippery road surfaces.
Drivers with infants and small children will appreciate the Traverse’s Smart Slide second-row seat. Many midsize SUVs have a child-safety seat installed in the second row, making it difficult for passengers to get in and out of the third row. The standard Smart Slide feature solves this problem by allowing the right side of the second-row bench seat or the right captain’s chair to slide and tilt forward, even when there’s an empty child-safety seat attached.
The 2020 Chevrolet Traverse Safety gets excellent safety scores. The IIHS gave the Traverse its highest rating of Good in all crash tests. The Traverse also received the top marks of five stars for overall safety by the NHTSA.
