The 2022 Chevrolet Equinox is available in four trim levels, listed as LS, LT, RS and Premier. The Equinox is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 170 horsepower and 203 lb-ft, paired to a six-speed automatic gearbox. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional. The engine’s start-stop system can now be disabled via a push button.
The EPA estimates the fuel economy for the 2022 Equinox at 26 mpg city/31 mpg highway for models with front-wheel drive.* With all-wheel drive, the Equinox checks in with 25 mpg city/30 mpg highway.
The base Equinox LS trim comes with a long list of standard features, including 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, keyless entry, push-button start, a rearview camera, cloth upholstery, and the OnStar emergency telematics system. The Equinox also has a standard rear-seat alert system that prevents drivers from leaving young children or pets in the rear seat.
