Buyers looking for a subcompact crossover with sporty styling, exceptional handling, and plenty of room in the cabin to keep passengers comfortable should consider the 2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The folks at the Cottonwood Chevrolet dealer point out that the Trailblazer is ideal for drivers looking for an SUV larger than the Trax and smaller than the Equinox.
We’ll examine the Chevy Trailblazer trim levels to see what each one brings to the table.
2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer Trim Levels
Buyers at dealers like the Cottonwood Chevrolet dealership can get the 2022 Trailblazer in one of four trim levels: LS, LT, Activ and RS. The LS and LT are powered by a standard turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine that produces 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). This engine is only offered with front-wheel drive.
For more power, the Trailblazer Activ and RS have an optional turbocharged 1.3-liter three-cylinder engine that puts out 155 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque, coupled to the CVT on front-wheel drive models. With available all-wheel drive, this engine is mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox. This powerplant is optional on the LT trim.
2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer LS
The base Trailblazer LS trim comes with 17-inch steel wheels, keyless entry, a fold-flat front passenger seat, a 7.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker stereo system, satellite radio and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Standard safety gear includes automatic high beams, lane-keeping assist, and forward collision mitigation.
2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT
The Trailblazer LT trim starts with the features of the LS. It adds LED fog lights, proximity keyless entry and ignition, remote ignition, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, tinted rear windows, heated mirrors, roof rails and cruise control. Two option packages are available: The Sun and Liftgate package and the Adaptive Cruise Control package.
2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer Activ
The Trailblazer Activ trim is the right choice for drivers looking to take the Trailblazer onto challenging backroad trails. The Activ includes sport terrain tires, off-road suspension tuning, underbody skid plates, exclusive styling elements, simulated leather seating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a heated steering wheel, a rear-seat center armrest, and a two-tone roof. Several option packages are available.
2022 Chevrolet Trailblazer RS
Choose the top-of-the-line Trailblazer RS trim, and you’ll get cloth and synthetic leather upholstery, 18-inch alloy wheels with standard tires, and red interior accents. Except for the off-road suspension tuning and skid plate, it gets the same standard and available equipment as the Activ trim.
Whichever trim level you decide on, you’ll get excellent fuel economy. The base engine returns an EPA-estimated 29 mpg city/31 mpg highway.* The upgrade unit gets 29 mpg city/33 mpg highway with front-wheel drive and 26 mpg city/30 mpg highway with all-wheel drive.
