The 2023 Chevrolet Equinox is a compact crossover that slots above the Trailblazer and Trax and below the Blazer, Traverse, Tahoe, and Suburban. Chevrolet tuned the 2023 Equinox to provide maximum comfort. The Equinox is Chevy’s most popular model, thanks to its versatility, spacious cabin, comfortable seating, and a long list of driver assistance equipment. It’s also available at a lower price than most rival models at dealerships like the Cottonwood Chevrolet dealer. If you’ve been searching for an SUV, you’ll want to place the 2023 Equinox at the top of your shopping list.

All trims are motivated by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that now produces 175 horsepower, a boost of 5 hp over last year’s model. Torque stays at 203 lb-ft. This powerplant is coupled to a six-speed automatic gearbox. Buyers have a choice between standard front-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive. The Equinox has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.

Motor Trend had words of praise for the 2023 Chevrolet Equinox, writing: “[The] Equinox is a great handler. Handling isn’t at top of mind for buyers in this segment, but the Equinox holds its own when driven enthusiastically on a twisty road. More important, this Chevrolet has plenty of passenger space inside. We also appreciate Chevrolet’s standard active safety features ...”
The Equinox LS may be the base trim, but it comes with a wide array of standard features, including 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, keyless entry, push-button start, cloth seating, a rearview camera, and OnStar. A rear-seat alert system prevents drivers from leaving the vehicle with young children or pets left behind in the rear seat. Also standard is the Teen Driver system. Teen driver lets parents set limits on some of the Equinox’s features, such as the volume of the audio system and the vehicle’s top speed when younger drivers are behind the wheel. It can even send a report card back home detailing how the vehicle was driven.
